The project consisted in adding a new 2-story addition and connect to the existing single family dwelling with an aluminum and glass structure. A new foundation system for the existing single family had to be provided. Additionally, a new 2-car garage and pool house at the rear of the property.
A small bakery needed a light gage steel framing system to support a new interior soffit. We provided the plans and calculations and worked with the owners to make sure the whole process was easy and there were no issues with the city.
This is a code compliance project due to the LADBS soft story mandate. A visual evaluation and a report to the city had to be provided. Our proposal was to provide a detailed report of the faulty areas identified by the city of Los Angeles as well as the remediation that should be taken.
The owner wanted to add a 2-story addition. We provided all plans and calculations showing the roof framing plan and floor framing plan. The engineer did inspections to be sure each detail of the structural plans were being built within code and accordingly.
This garage unit needed to be legalized as a loft. We worked with the owner by providing drawings and structural calculations for the foundation plan, roof framing plan and details for the engineering portions of the construction.
County of Ventura needed roof barriers installed at the roofs of the Juvenile Justice Complex. These barriers consist of steel posts and non-climb security mesh. Our job was to provide structural plans and calculations to show details and illustration of the proposed scope of work.
